WHO WE ARE

Trump is in the White House, and our democracy is in peril.
 

We’re currently in a period of authoritarian breakthrough, where the administration is destroying our rights, breaking our Constitution, and attacking our communities. Authoritarians would have you believe you’re alone and powerless as they take down our government and fast-track their fascist agenda. In fact, they’re actively working to divide us and turn us against one other. 

But there is power in community. We are Indivisible Lehigh Valley Bethlehem (ILVB), and we invite you to JOIN US!

ILVB is the local chapter of Indivisible, a grassroots volunteer organization with thousands of chapters across the country. Our Working Groups tackle urgent issues such as ICE abductions, attacks on our LGBTQIA+ community, cuts to our social safety net, dismantling of our environmental protections, cooption of our universities, defunding of our public education and media systems, destroying fair elections, and much more.

We’re boots-on-the-ground, creating dynamic events, protests, and marches; banding together with other activist organizations to support community projects; conducting call and letter-writing campaigns to pressure our legislators, and much more.

We are fully committed to peaceful action. We’re building a coalition of people who love freedom and democracy. We believe everyone has something to contribute, and we need your voice.
